As the City’s Planning Director, Engin Artemel led a multi-year effort to resolve a title suit that was preventing the redevelopment of the waterfront in Alexandria, Virginia. The firm then prepared a comprehensive plan for the mile-long waterfront, including activity nodes and pedestrian-friendly promenades. He negotiated land swaps to relocate industrial uses and free up prime waterfront property.
