What’s left are "lifestyle centers", residential apartments and condominiums above one story of retail (mixed-use, transit-oriented), traditional main street retail, and unique and specialty shops. The retail landscape changes quickly to keep pace with the fickle shopper, changing demographics, and the renewed emphasis on urban locations. Internet shopping takes an increasing share of the retail landscape.
